Checking RAID health on a Dell server
On a Windows Server, disk management doesn't typically show RAID health at all – but this is an essential part of any server health check. RAID health is shown at server start up - but the last thing you'd want to do is reboot a server just to check RAID status.
With Dell servers, typically there's a RAID storage manager that you can use to check status.
Logon with your normal active directory administrator userid and password – this is the part that's not so obvious from the standard login screen.
Once you're logged in, you check the health by going to the virtual disk properties – different controllers are slightly different, but you're looking for a virtual disk state of 'optimal' or similar (example in pic below).
